My family and I walk frequently in a highly populated area near the city center and notice that we hardly see any people. We see lots of houses, cars, trees, squirrels, and honey bees, but very few people. Where are all the people? Is this because of the invention of the air conditioner, the television, or maybe the internet? It's interesting to note that we see more children than adults. Is it because the people are all too busy to come hang out outside? Is it like this in most cities? Has community amongst neighbors become a non-important value in our culture so much so that we know more about Kim Kardashian than we do most of our neighbors? Let's change that.
